Intro to Mahjong by MixMix

In honor of AANHPI Heritage Month, we're partnering with MixMix who is hosting their Introduction to Mahjong - Hong Kong style - the format closest to the game's roots and still the most widely played version across East and South East Asia. If you've only ever seen the American version, this is where it came from.

We'll walk you through the full game: how walls get built, what makes a meld, how chows, pungs, and kongs work, and how to read a hand worthy of winning. You'll play real rounds. You'll leave knowing how to sit at a table and hold your own.

No experience necessary. Traditional tile sets are provided - no equipment to source, no annual card to buy. The game belongs to anyone who wants to learn it.

The experience opens the way every game of mahjong has opened for generations: all four players put their hands in the tiles together. We call it Hands In. You'll understand why when you hear the room.

Your registration includes 1 complimentary drink (N/A options available). Additional food and beverage available for purchase.
